| Una is one of the most awarded dancers, teachers, choreographers, and troupe directors in the belly dance world. Her many honors include Belly Dancer of the Year, Ms. Universe, and most recently, Belly Dancer of the Year Grand Dancer. To distinguish herself in the competitive belly dance world, Una created her own unique form of dance named "Una Style" belly dance. The "Una Style" belly dance captivates audiences with a fusion of classic belly dance technique and Una's signature veil technique and jaw-dropping abdominal bead rolls. After retiring from 26 years of competition and nightly restaurant dancing, Una now dedicates her time teaching "Una Style" belly dance at workshops and directing Troupe Nijmeh. In her storied dance career, Una previously danced for the foreign honored dignitaries of the King of Morocco and the King at his request. | |
